Barn Cat Fund

Barn Cat Fund is a not-for-profit organization in Massachusetts, dedicated to the protection of barn cats. We advocate and support increased funding for spay-neuter programs and trap-neuter-release programs, and have a program to bring cats to nursing homes.

Our Barn Cat Fund organization began after we found over 40 emaciated cats at a local back-yard barn. The owner indirectly giving them poison so as to decrease the population. They were reported to the local MSPCA (Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) and ARL (Animal Rescue League). We planned a rescue to save the cats. We educated to the services available in Massachusetts, such as low cost spay neuter wagons from the MSPCA and ARL.

A few of the cats now are "purrfect" pet therapy companions. They visit hospitals and nursing homes, giving back to others their love and appreciation for being given a great home.
